The YEA
The Yatala Enterprise Area was formed in 2005 as a specialist Activity Centre and designated as a Major Development Area under the Queensland State Government’s South East Queensland Regional Plan.
Its role as a critical driver of economic growth in the region as well as a significant generator of employment has not only attracted many iconic companies to the area such as Stratco, Adbri, the Famous Yatala Pie Shop, Fosters Brewery, Hanson, Langs Building Supplies and VIP Pet Foods, but also created a business community that fosters and supports the areas enterprise aims.
The YEA is also unique in its architectural elements, with most businesses opting for cutting edge design in their buildings and surrounds. This approach ensures the YEA remains contemporary and acts as a leading example of the new-generation enterprise hub.
Over the long-term the area’s value will be as a centrally located logistical precinct for industrial land resources, in particular large-scale industry.
The area’s close proximity to ports, the two international airports on the Gold Coast and in Brisbane, national highway and rail links adds to the YEA’s viability as a central industrial and commercial hub accessible to all parts of Australia and with easy access to overseas destinations.
These modern transport services and world-class infrastructure combine to make this young and dynamic growth area an ideal location to start up or relocate your business.
